LSU keeps another big piece of its defense at home for one more year, as junior defensive lineman Rashard Lawrence has announced that he will remain with the Tigers for his senior year:

Lawrence, who exploded with four tackles for loss and two sacks in the Fiesta Bowl, will eschew the NFL Draft for one more year and join classmates Breiden Fehoko and Michael Divinity in returning to LSU for one more year.
He led LSU’s defensive line with 54 tackles and 10.5 sacks in 2018, and is one of the most well-respected leaders on the Tiger roster. Getting him back for one more year, along with Fehoko and Divinity, set the Tigers up to have one of the best front sevens in the country in 2019, with Devin White’s decision still pending.
This is a big win for Ed Orgeron, who has made it a big point to try and reverse the recent year’s trend of underclassmen leaving the program early.
