The Florida Gators are rolling into town fresh off their huge win over Auburn. This is LSU’s first top 25 opponent that they will face in Baton Rouge this year. It’s a big game, which means there is always a lot to unpack. In today’s gumbo, we round up everything you may have missed over the last few days and anything else you should know before kickoff tomorrow night.

Other links to prepare you for tomorrow include:
- From our own Kennedi Landry, an article on the bad blood that is boiling up this week between LSU and Florida
- This article from Wilson Alexander and The Advocate on what LSU needs to do to get the win
- This article from Brody Miller of The Athletic breaking down how Joe Burrow can be successful against an aggressive Florida defense ($$$)
- An update on lineups and injuries from Tiger Rag that includes notes on the offensive line situation and how LSU is looking on the injury front
- From Cody Worsham a preview of the game as well as some quotes from the week
Speaking of injuries, Glen Logan has been out the last few games but Logan tweeted something yesterday that may hint at his return.
Guess who’s back.......

This is promising for a defensive front that has been riddled with injuries. Tomorrow will by far be the healthiest LSU team since the first couple weeks of the season.
One of the players LSU will be getting back this week is senior DL Rashard Lawrence. The Advocate ran a great feature on Lawrence that is definitely worth a read. It discusses his love for football at a young age and how beloved he is around the LSU program.
Jamar Chase and Derek Stingley have both been breakout stars this season. Turns out, the two go way back and have been competing with each other long before either one stepped foot on LSU. Here’s an article from LSUSports.net detailing their history with one another.
One aspect adding to the weeks’s excitement is due to the game in Gainesville last year. LSU came into that game flying high until they met that Florida defensive line. LSU center Lloyd Cushenberry says that game still weighs heavily on them.
Lloyd Cushenberry printed out stats from last year's loss to Florida – 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, eight pressures – and put them on every LSU offensive lineman's locker.

"Just a little extra motivation...that's been stuck in my head for a while."
LSU released their hype video for the game, and as always, it’s dynamite. You would be hard pressed to find another video team in the country that makes these things as well as LSU. This weeks video is narrated by Booger McFarland.

Well that is all the news from the weak so, as usual, I will leave you today with my prediction. As a younger LSU fan, Florida has broken my heart almost as much as any team. It seems like anytime LSU comes into the Florida game with expectations, something goes wrong. Whether it’s Matt Elam stripping Odell Beckham before Mike Gillislee painfully runs for first down after first down, or Derrius Guice getting stopped at the goal line costing LSU a shot at the Sugar Bowl, or even the Gators upset over LSU last year. But I expect tomorrow’s game to be a much fonder memory. It might take a couple drives for LSU to get the offense rolling, but I think LSU wins this game 34-17. Enjoy your college football weekend.
