Fan Pulse: Week 9

Tigers at the top!

Before the season, we kindly asked you to participate in SB Nation’s FanPulse weekly rankings. This is basically a poll voted on by you, the fans, instead of stuffy old sportswriters, which allows for more insight into how the common fan feels about the current season.

Confidence

For the second straight week, Bayou Bengals backers are fully confident in the Tigers, registering 100%. (yes, the chart looks a little off, it’s a rendering issue) I’m sure the defensive performance the team played with against Auburn helps ease some nerves heading into the Game Of The Century VII against Bama.

Top 25

  • That’s right, the Tigers are at the top. I guess the rest of the nation couldn’t turn away LSU’s resume. The game in two weeks will still be one vs. two, which is crazy enough, but it will be LSU defending the top spot.
  • And for what it’s worth, Roll Bama Roll has voted LSU #1. Not sure if that’s them trying to place some bad juju on the Tigers or what, but they have also voted the Tide third.
  • Not voting LSU first: Boston College, Clemson (duh), Georgia Tech, Iowa, Iowa State, K-State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nc State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UCLA, UNC, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Wake Forest, Washington, Washington State, Wisconsin...
  • ...so I’m not exactly sure HOW LSU ended up in the top spot, but I don’t know enough about math to argue it.
  • Auburn falls to 12th, behind Oregon.
  • SMU falls a spot, while Minnesota takes the vacated spot.
  • 7-1 Louisiana Tech gets some love and cracks into the Top 25.
