Ed Orgeron got to celebrate a pretty big side of BEEF on Thanksgiving with the commitment of Mississippi offensive lineman Xavier Hill for the 2020 recruiting class.

Hill is a 6-3, 325-pound interior lineman from Olive Branch, Miss. He’s a three-star prospect, but he had offers from most of the SEC, including Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M and Florida in addition to the Mississippi schools.
He’s someone that James Cregg has been after for his ability to play guard or center. Hill had some grade concerns but word is improving on that front was a condition of his commitment.
You can see the guy’s a people-mover and a finisher. Does a nice job of getting to the second-level and finding targets in space as well.
Hill marks the 24th commitment for this class, and there still remains a few more dominoes to fall before the early signing period in a few weeks. As Dan discussed, players like offensive tackle Marcus Dumervil, running back Zachary Evans, defensive end Jordan Burch and pass-rusher Phillip Webb are still on the board. LSU plans to sign the best 25 players that they can, and that may still mean a few current commitments wind up finding new places to go.
