Multiple reports this afternoon confirmed that LSU nose tackle Dominic Livingston has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, while lineman Davin Cotton has removed his name.
Like Cotton, Livingston redshirted in 2018 with limited appearances. He is a former three-star recruit out of the Houston area. Livingston would have likely worked as the No. 2 nose tackle behind Tyler Shelvin this spring, although four-star freshman Siaki Ika has come in to provide some competition.
In a short conversation with a recruit, it does appear that this involves some personal issues for Livingston that may be leading him to look to be closer to home. That might make this transfer a little more likely to stick than Cotton, who was in and out of the portal somewhat quickly. I do think LSU will attempt to keep Livingston.
More as news breaks.
