LSU found a way to bolster the 2019 defensive line class with junior college end/outside linebacker prospect Soni Fonua.
A 6-4, 264-pounder out of Mesa Community College in Arizona, Fonua is a former teammate of nose tackle signee Siaki Ika, and the sixth-rated strong-side defensive end prospect in the junior college ranks, according to 247 Sports.
LSU was able to swoop in on Fonua late in the process over Nebraska and Oklahoma State. Fonua should provide some extra depth to the Tiger defensive line class.
