GAMETHREAD: LSU @ Alabama, 11 AM, ESPN

NCAA Basketball: Tennessee at Louisiana State Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

As a great philosopher once said, “This Is March.” LSU has survived it’s tremendous February slate and come out the other side with flying colors. A postseason bid is virtually guaranteed, so now LSU focuses on securing a high seed and a chance at a regular season SEC Championship.

That work continues this morning on the road at Alabama. The Tide are only a game over .500 in conference play and the natives are getting restless in Avery Johnson’s 4th year. A win on the road for the Tigers would tie the record of 8 road conference wins by the 1980-81 team. The 3 way tie for the top conference record remains at 13-2, but that number will come down to two as UK and Tennessee face each other later today.

Even better news for LSU, Tremont Waters is fully healthy and back in action after missing the last couple of games with an illness.

This morning’s game will air on ESPN.
