LSU’s recruiting efforts in California paid more dividends today with top-10 wide receiver Jermaine Burton making his verbal commitment to the Tigers.

— Jermaine Burton Jr. (@dbassassin13) April 20, 2019
Burton is a composite four-star prospect and the No. 7 wide receiver in the country and seventh-rated prospect overall in the Golden State for this cycle. He visited LSU for the spring game two weeks ago and for his official visit and decided to make his pledge today.
Burton is a 6-1, 193-pound receiver reportedly timed in the 4.4 forty range with a 36-inch vertical leap. Burton is originally from Atlanta, but has been residing in Calabasas, Calif. His other major leaders were Miami and Georgia, so most believe he is more than willing to leave the West Coast for college.
Smooth, effortless athlete as a route runner, and a strong hand-catcher. Burton marks the 12th commitment for LSU’s 2020 class and the second receiver.
