LSU recruiting news got a boost on Tuesday, with the announcement five-star running back Kendall Milton will visit campus in two weeks.
I will be at Louisiana State University on April 15th! #GeauxTigers @TRob_LSU @Coach_EdOrgeron

It appears that LSU is just one stop for Milton on a tour of several colleges (his Twitter timeline mentions stops at Alabama on April 17 and Georgia on April 20), so its doubtful that this will be an official visit. But it’s still big news for LSU’s coaching staff to get the No. 2 tailback in the 247 Sports composite in Baton Rouge.
Milton is a 6-2, 220-pound back out of Clovis, Calif., with an impressive blend of size and quickness:
Oklahoma currently has the lead for Milton in 247 Sports’ Crystal Ball picks, but scuttlebutt has been that LSU commitment Elias Ricks has been hard in Milton’s ear, as well as other top prospects out of California. And of course, Ed Orgeron and running backs coach Tommie Robinson have extensive ties out west from their time at USC.
LSU’s 2020 class features 10 verbal commitments at the moment, and is ranked third in the 247 Composite. There are no tailbacks at the moment, but the staff appears to be in a solid position for other stud prospects in addition to Milton; Houston’s Zach Evans, the nation’s No. 1 back, and New Orleans native Ashaad Clayton, currently ranked tenth.
