Naz Reid Declares for NBA Draft

Stud freshman will be a one-and-done for LSU.

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-East Regional Practice Peter Casey-USA TODAY Sports

LSU freshman center Naz Reid announced his plan to enter the 2019 NBA Draft, and hire an agent, ending his time with the program in a social media post this afternoon:

Reid averaged 13.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game last season for LSU, and was a crucial part of the Tigers’ SEC regular season championship and Sweet Sixteen run.

Its hard to blame Reid for considering the move in light of the current uncertainty of Will Wade’s status, but there also seems to be some doubt as to whether or not he is a no-doubt lottery pick at the next level. Still, we wish Reid well. He came to Baton Rouge with high expectations and more than fullfilled them.
