Fan Pulse Week 3 Rankings

LSU cracks the playoff four in the fan rankings

NCAA Football: Northwestern State at Louisiana State Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Before the season, we kindly asked you to participate in SB Nation’s FanPulse weekly rankings. This is basically a poll voted on your, the fans, instead of stuffy old sportswriters, which allows for more insight into how the common fan feels about the current season.

A slight dip after Northwestern State hung around a bit in the first half, but by and large LSU fans are still riding the high off the Texas wins and preseason hype. Here’s hoping it holds strong for a while now.

You can find the full Top 25 polls here. Some notes:

  • LSU and Oklahoma flip flop, putting the Tigers into the top three and solidifying a 2-3-4 SEC bottleneck.
  • Our friends at College and Mag have given LSU the petty bump, putting the Bayou Bengals over Alabama at three (but behind Georgia).
  • Texas also votes the Tigers at three, but Virginia Tech fans love LSU for some reason, voting them in at #2 behind only Clemson.
  • Blogs who voted LSU 5th: Baylor, Florida State, Kansas State, Louisville, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas Tech, UCLA, Utah, Wisconsin.
