LSU Receives No Votes in This Week’s AP Poll

NCAA Football: Louisiana State at Missouri Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

The week seven edition of the AP Top 25 came out Sunday and not only was LSU (1-2) unranked, they received zero votes.

After having its game this past Saturday against Florida rescheduled for December 12, LSU will get its first chance to move past from week three’s 45-41 loss to Missouri this week at home against South Carolina. The Gamecocks (2-2) will come to Baton Rouge riding the momentum of beating then No. 15 Auburn at home.

The SEC cannibalized itself this weekend. South Carolina took Auburn out of the Top 25, and Kentucky did the same to Tennessee. Georgia, on the other hand, took it on the chin against Alabama but only dropped one spot, from No. 3 to No. 4.

The Big 10 and Mountain West begin their seasons this Saturday, while the MAC returns November 4 which is a Wednesday and very much on brand for the MAC. The Pac 12 returns that Friday, November 6.

Here’s how the rest of this week’s AP Poll shakes out.
