NFLSU Gamethread: Week 8

There’s three great games this afternoon and yet Cowboys-Eagles is the Sunday Night game

Good morning, welcome to week eight of the NFL season.

Well it certainly appears that LSU’s 48-11 loss to Auburn was not a figment of our collective imaginations. Part of me hoped that the combination of 1) Halloween 2) the full moon and 3) daylight savings would open some kind of wormhole that would allow us to erase one day from history and had that happened we all would have picked yesterday’s result right?

Anyway, there’s three really good NFL games during the day. Maybe that will be the pallete cleanser we need before LSU’s next game which is against *checks notes*...Alabama

Fuck.

PATRIOTS at BILLS, 12:00 P.M., CBS

You know I wasn’t all that invested in this game, that was until Auburn pantsed LSU. Now I’m hoping Tre’Davious White intercepts Cam Newton six times and Reid Ferguson has to snap a thousand PATs.

TITANS at BENGALS, 12:00 P.M., CBS

I passed by the Bengals stadium two weeks ago when I made my little roadtrip to Cincinnati and Joe Burrow was plastered all over Paul Brown Stadium. Good for Joe, I hope his offensive line doesn’t subject him to a billion sacks today.

Unfortunately you won’t have to worry about Kristian Fulton intercepting Burrow today, Fulton was placed on the short-term Injured Reserve and will miss at least the next three weeks.

RAIDERS at BROWNS 12:00 P.M., FOX

The Browns are good (?) and the Raiders are decent. For you multiple screen people out there, I’d say this game is good enough to be the secondary screen behind Steelers-Ravens

COLTS at LIONS 12:00 P.M. CBS

Skip!

VIKINGS at PACKERS 12:00 P.M., FOX

The last time a Jefferson brother played in Lambeau field was Ricky in the 2016 LSU-Wisconsin game and he intercepted a pass. LSU of course lost that game and I fear that Justin Jefferson will also come up short against the Packers.

JETS at CHIEFS 12:00 P.M., CBS

The Jets are

The Jets are a 20-point underdog and even that seems low.

RAMS at DOLPHINS 12:00 P.M., FOX

It’s Tu’a time in Miami!

STEELERS at RAVENS 12:00 P.M., CBS

The best game of the week, this should be the NBC game instead of Cowboys-Eagles.

CHARGERS at BRONCOS 3:05 P.M., CBS

Offensive line enthusiasts this is your moment! Trai Turner vs. Lloyd Cushenberry!

SAINTS at BEARS 3:25 P.M., FOX

The 2A best game of the week, this should be the NBC game instead of Cowboys-Eagles.

49ERS at SEAHAWKS 3:25 P.M., FOX

The 2B best game of the week, this should be the NBC game instead of Cowboys-Eagles

COWBOYS EAGLES 7:20 P.M., NBC

The worst game of the week, this shouldn’t even be aired

BUCCANEERS at GIANTS, Monday November 2, 7:15 P.M., ESPN

Devin White was the NFL Defensive Player of the Week this past week thanks to a stellar game against the Raiders: 11 tackles, three sacks, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble. Boy it would be nice to have him on this LSU defense :/
