Four-star small forward Alex Fudge signed his LSU letter of intent Monday, officially joining Will Wade and LSU’s 2021 recruiting class, which is currently ranked 11th in the 247 composite.

Fudge, out of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, is a top-50 prospect nationally and picked LSU over Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas and Clemson among others. He is ranked 44th in the 2021 class and is LSU’s highest rated commit.

“We are excited to have Alex Fudge join our LSU Basketball program,” Wade said. “Alex is a tremendous person who will be a great ambassador for our program on and off the court. We are very excited about his versatility on both ends of the floor. He can score at all three levels and is disruptive on the defensive end as well. We can’t wait to get to work with Alex.”

Standing at 6’8”, Fudge has the frame to develop into an NBA player. In fact 247 projects him as a future second round pick. Fudge will enroll in January.

Fudge’s signature comes on the heels of the Tigers getting two early signings last week. Jerrell Colbert, a four-star center from the Memphis area, and Brandon Murray, a three-star shooting guard attending the IMG Academy signed their letters of intent last Thursday.
