Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged in LSU Tigers fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

A funny thing happened in this week’s confidence poll: LSU fans were more confident before the Arkansas game was played. I imagine some (most?) of that has to do with LSU not having to play Alabama last week. Anyway, confidence tripled in the direction of the LSU football program.

Now I’ll grant you that big of a jump in confidence isn’t saying much. But! A win is a win and LSU’s gets to keep Das Boot for the fifth consecutive year. The current five-year win streak is the longest uninterrupted streak since the Tigers won seven straight between 1930 and 1936.

LSU is far from a fixed. The Tigers still have to go to College Station Saturday, host an explosive Ole Miss offense the week after that, and go to The Swamp on December 12. A 1-2 finish is still very much in play.

But still, LSU went on the road in less than ideal weather conditions, lost their top two corners, and held on for dear life against a rival that treats this game like their Super Bowl. Plus we’ll have LSU basketball to distract us soon WHO’S WITH ME????
