Garrett Nussmeier inks with LSU on early signing day, giving the Tiger QB room an injection of high end talent and upside.
Nussmeier is (somehow only) the 8th ranked Pro-Style QB by 247 and 86th player nationally. Nussmeier enjoyed an extremely effective 2020 season at Marcus before it was cut short before the playoffs by an injury to his non throwing hand. It is of little concern going forward, but a tough end to his absolutely stellar senior season.
With his status as an early enrollee, Nussmeier has a great opportunity to get up to speed in time for the 2021 season and, although it will be extremely difficult for anyone to unseat Myles Brennan if he is healthy, potentially compete for the job of QB1.
