Women’s Basketball Loses Again in Las Vegas

Lady Tigers continue to struggle

NCAA Womens Basketball: SEC Conference Tournament-Louisiana State vs Mississippi State Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

For the second time this season the LSU women’s basketball team is partaking in a non-conference showcase in Las Vegas, and unfortunately for Nikki Fargas and her Lady Tigers, both trips are looking unsuccessful.

LSU (1-4) lost to Pacific (1-1) 73-64 Saturday afternoon 73-64. The 64 points is a season-best for LSU but the Tigers continue to struggle shooting the ball. LSU is currently averaging 53 points a game, which is 298th out of the 324 Division 1 schools playing women’s basketball.

Another point of concern with LSU is that they’re not only losing, but the games haven’t been particularly close. LSU has lost games by 16, 20, 10 and 9 points this season for an average margin of defeat of 11 points.

The Lady Tigers have a quick turnaround and are back on the floor at 2:00 P.M. today to conclude its non-conference schedule against Loyola Marymount. The game can be streamed on, a subscription is required, or you can listen to it on 107.3.
