LSU had its second former offensive linemen selected in the third round as former center Lloyd Cushenberry III was taken by the Denver Broncos 83rd overall Friday night.

Cushenberry joins Damian Lewis, picked by the Seahawks 69th overall, as the second member of LSU’s Joe Moore Award squad to hear his name called. Cushenberry was named Second-Team All-American, First-Team All SEC this past year and wore the coveted No. 18, the first Tiger offensive lineman to earn the honor.

Cushenberry started at center for each game over the past two years and logged 100 snaps at guard in 2017. He was named the team’s MVP for 2019 and also voted a permanent team captain.

With Cushenberry off to Denver, LSU now has seen nine Tigers picked. Damien Lewis was also selected in the third round; defensive backs Grant Delpit and Kristian Fulton were both selected in the second round; and Joe Burrow, K’Lavon Chaisson, Justin Jefferson, Patrick Queen and Clyde Edwards-Helaire all were selected in the first round.
