LSU secured a nice commit on Sunday, receiving a verbal pledge from Texas defensive end Landon Jackson.
Jackson is ranked as the 69th prospect in the nation and number 11 in the state of Texas. He has offers from several big time programs including, Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC and others.
The 247 scouting report highlights Jackson’s 6’6” 240 pound frame with more room to add weight. The report also notes that Jackson is a natural playmaker but has to better use his frame and tore his ACL at the end of his sophomore season.
The addition of Jackson gives the Tigers seven commits for the latest class. With LSU looking to shift defensive fronts, Jackson gives the Tigers now two commits, along with defensive tackle Anthony Hundley, for Bo Pelini to mold to the scheme.
