Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s wheel route against Alabama cruised to the Sweet 16 claiming 96 percent of yesterday’s vote. Today we’ll see what play joins it in the Sweet 16 with a 2-10 match up.
No. 2: Ja’Marr Chase’s 78-yard bomb vs. Texas A&M
Why it should advance:
If you’re into dropping bombs on a clearly inferior team that made cups to celebrate a fluke win from the previous season, then buddy this is the pick for you.
This one play perfectly encapsulates how Texas A&M, contrary to what they may believe, isn’t on LSU’s level. Chase simply blows past his man and the safety playing deep trying to help out. The pocket Burrow has to work with is as clean as can be and he just unleashes a bomb and it hits Chase perfectly in stride.
Maybe some day Texas A&M will be able to challenge LSU without needing seven overtimes. That night in Baton Rouge was not that night. 50-7. Put that on a cup, Aggies.

No. 10: Terrace Marshall’s 20-yard fade vs. Auburn
Why it should advance:
Because the Auburn game was a street fight and this got LSU on the scoreboard.
Between the sloppy conditions and Auburn’s fearsome front four, the Tigers played LSU’s offense better than anyone all season long. Auburn was the only team to keep LSU from scoring at all in the first quarter. But even with Terrace Marshall getting interfered with, he still came away with the ball and put LSU up 7-3. I can’t think of a better metaphor to describe the 2019 LSU offense: no matter how hard you fight it, Burrow and the offense still found ways to score on you.
