What was the best Joe Burrow touchdown of 2019? We’re asking you, the reader, to decide

We’re oh so close to narrowing down what you believe to be the best 16 touchdowns Joe Burrow scored in 2019, but we have two more tough decisions first.

The most obvious trend in the bracket so far has been that a touchdown’s situational relevance has been the most important factor. Today’s matchup is the ultimate style vs. substance pairing, and will put this trend to the test. We have a badass looking touchdown that wasn’t very important in the grand scheme of its game or season going up against a routine score that was critical in LSU’s march to a championship. Let’s see what the people decide!

No. 3: Burrow’s evasive maneuver and 37 yard rainbow to Derrick Dillon vs Mississippi State

Why it should advance:

Because DAMN did that look sweet. For Burrow to feel the pocket collapsing, dance out of trouble, reset his feet, wind up and drop the ball in a bucket all in the span of like 1.5 seconds is just goddamn absurd. This is an NFL throw. That’s a cliche saying, but come on man. College quarterbacks are not supposed to be able to make this throw. Burrow did it matter-of-factly.

No. 11: Thaddeus Moss’ 4 yard stretch for the pylon vs Clemson

Why it should advance:

Because it gave the 2019 LSU Tigers a double digit lead on college football history. After Trevor Lawrence hit Armani Rodgers for a two-point conversion, the Superdome got as tight as it ever would that night in January. After the teams traded punts and the Ensminger/Brady duo dialed up a perfect screen to Ja’Marr Chase, LSU found itself sniffing the end zone yet again. A targeting call on Clemson just sped up the inevitable: Joe Burrow and the LSU offense responding when they needed to, this time for good.
