The Joe Burrow Touchdown Bracket Sweet Sixteen: Day Two

What was the best Joe Burrow touchdown of 2019? We’re asking you, the reader, to decide

NCAA Football: College Football Playoff Semifinal-Oklahoma vs Louisiana State John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The JBTB Sweet Sixteen continues on! The titan that is 3rd and 17 moved on with ease yet again yesterday. Today we find out which postseason TD it will face for a bid in the Final Four.

No. 2: Thaddeus Moss’ 62 yard catch and stiff arm vs Oklahoma

Why it should advance:

This isn’t really relevant to its reasons to advance, but this play won easily the most thrilling matchup of the bracket so far when it beat a 10 seed by TWO VOTES! I just wanted to make sure everyone was aware that happened.

As for the play itself, this was the “Yep, we’ve seen it all” moment for LSU fans. A tight end catching a 62 yard touchdown for our QBs 6th TD toss in the first half of a Playoff game? Leaving enough time left for a 7th TD that we absolutely knew we were going to score? That’s goddamn fan fiction. Not even good, nuanced fiction, just pure pornography.

No. 3: Terrace Marshall’s championship-sealing jump ball vs Clemson

Why it should advance:

The sign-off. The finale. The last touchdown scored by the best offense and team in the history of college football. That’s gotta be worth something right?

If that’s not enough, let’s talk about what a dude Terrace Marshall was on this play. This is a textbook example of Mossing somebody. In that sense it’s a Moss vs. Moss matchup. Ha! How about that?
