Fittingly enough, on the 32nd day of our Joe Burrow bracket we are voting on the 32nd and final entry that will make up the Round of 32 beginning tomorrow. Evan will have an updated bracket for the next round. The Tiger King region has seen upsets that past two days, with the 10 and 11 seeds advancing; let’s see if that trend continues today.
No. 8: Ja’Marr Chase’s 16-yard slant and go vs. Vanderbilt
The context:
This was Chase’s fourth touchdown he caught against Vanderbilt and it might be the rudest of the four. Chase was lethal all season long running slant routes against defensive backs, so to set up Vanderbilt’s BJ Anderson with an inside cut only to break it away up field is rude as hell.
No. 9: Justin Jefferson’s 4-yard in route vs. Utah State
The context:
Joe Burrow throwing the football while on the run is truly a sight to behold. It didn’t matter if he was flushed to his left or right, or if he had to climb up in the pocket and throw not completely on balance, he was money on the move.
This is yet another example of it. Burrow gets flushed out of the pocket and rolls to his right. He keeps going and going until he catches sight of Justin Jefferson. One flick of the wrist later and Jefferson’s got the ball in the end zone and LSU pushed its lead to 28-6.
