Will Wade’s team is once again proving to be one of the elite teams in the SEC.
LSU has won two in a row and three of its first four SEC games. They are a deep team that is one of the best offensive units in college basketball and, at times, can play defense with the best of them.
Add that all together and you have a fan base that’s growing more and more confident in the direction of the program as the weeks progress.

The Tigers may not yet be ranked in the AP Poll, but they’re in the top 20 in the most important rankings: the NET, which is the metric used by the selection committee for the NCAA Tournament.
But the job’s far from over for LSU. There’s still 14 more SEC games to be played, plus a massive non-conference game against Texas Tech on January 31. Wednesday night will be a challenge for LSU as the Tigers will take on a tough Arkansas team and may be doing so without leading scorer Cam Thomas.
Still, this is as deep a team LSU has ever had and don’t be surprised to see LSU at or near the very top of the conference come postseason play.
In other news, the national championship is tonight! It’s kind of amazing that a game between two juggernauts has kind of flown under the radar but yep, the college football season concludes tonight as Alabama and Ohio State battle it out in Miami.
SB Nation asked and The Tide is the favorite among our readers to win the CFP national championship.
