Basketball aims for signature win on the national stage

The LSU men’s basketball team (8-2, 3-1) begins a three-game homestead with a massive game against a tough Arkansas team (10-2, 2-2).

The Tigers and Hogs are coming off comfortable victories the last time they played: LSU beat Ole Miss by 14, while Arkansas beat Georgia by—hello—30.

LSU and Arkansas are neck and neck in several offensive categories. LSU is second in the league in scoring, fourth in free throw percentage and in threes; Arkansas is first, first and third in those respective categories.

The big question mark for LSU is the status of freshman guard Cam Thomas. Thomas rolled his ankle Saturday against Ole Miss and left the game after four minutes of play. Will Wade said in Tuesday meeting with the media that Thomas will be a game-time decision.
