Monday is an important day for both LSU and all college football programs.
January 18 is the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the 2021 NFL Draft. Players that do declare are given a 72-hour timeframe to withdraw their names.
LSU, long priding itself on the NFLSU brand, is in an unusual situation: a majority of players are deciding to return to school instead of entering the draft.
Junior safety Todd Harris was the latest to announce his intentions to return to school, posting the news on his Instagram yesterday. Harris joins a long line of players deciding to play for LSU in 2021. By my count, there’s 13 players who have announced their intentions of returning in 2021. I’ve tried my best to write up a thing on all of the departures but there are some I missed because of work or other responsibilities.

There’s also 15 players who are leaving LSU either for the draft or transferring to another school

There’s still a few more players who have yet to decide on way or another on their future plans, the most significant being left tackle Dare Rosenthal.
If Rosenthal returns, LSU would bring back all five starters from last year’s unit. While nothing’s official, it sounds as though Ingram coming back will lead to Rosenthal returning as well.
