LSU starting left guard Ed Ingram tweeted late Saturday night that he would be coming back to school for the 2021 season.

Ingram is the latest player that Ed Orgeron and has re-recruited. Ingram joins Liam Shanahan, Chasen Hines, Ali Gaye and Neil Farrell Jr. as players who will be coming back for another year in Baton Rouge.

Ingram is LSU’s best offensive linemen and had a chance at being a Day Two pick in April’s NFL Draft. He was projected as a top-five guard prospect.

Retaining players, especially along the offensive line, was a focus for the coaching staff and so far LSU will be holding on to all three of their starting interior offensive linemen.

“I think you’re gonna be surprised by the retention level that we have,” Orgeron said “I’ve talked to a lot of guys, now a lot of things can happen, but right now a lot of them are leaning on coming back. I’m recruiting the heck out of the offensive line which would really help us.”

LSU is still awaiting decisions from some other contributors on the 2020 team. Players like Andre Anthony, Jabril Cox, Austin Deculus, Glenn Logan and Dare Rosenthal are all players that are on the fence about leaving and entering the NFL draft or returning to school for the 2021 season.
