Things continue to sink for the 2021 Tigers, with news today that stud sophmore corner Eli Ricks will miss the remainder of the season. The news was confirmed by Ed Orgeron.

The shoulder injury had been an ongoing problem through the season and only recently did Ricks decide to get surgery and shut it down for the season.

Ricks, along with Derek Stingley, was supposed to give the Tigers a pair of lock-down corners on the outside. With Stingley out indefinetly, and Ricks definetly done, those dreams are dashed for this season.

Along with Stingley, Ricks joins Andre Anthony and Kayshon Boutte as Tigers who will miss the season with injuries.

The silver lining in this situation is more playing time for youngsters Dwight McGlothern, Raydarius Jones and Damarius McGhee.

Still it is another gut punch to a season full of them.
