Incoming sophomore guard Adam Miller’s 2021-2022 season is over before it even started.
The Illinois transfer tore his ACL and he will miss the entire season.

Miller was one of the biggest gets of the college basketball offseason and figured to be a key piece on the men’s team this year. Now, roughly three weeks before LSU’s season opening game against ULM, Will Wade and staff will have to reengineer the LSU backcourt. That onus will fall on fellow transfer Xavier Pinson, sophomore Eric Gaines, and incoming freshmen Brandon Murray and Justice Williams.
Miller was a four-star, No. 33 player overall in the 2020 recruiting class. He was a complimentary piece for an Illinois team that won the Big 10 tournament and earned a No. 1 seed in last year’s NCAA Tournament. Miller spent part of his summer playing for Team USA’s U-19 team that won gold in the FIBA World Cup.
LSU’s 2021-22 season begins Saturday as the Tigers travel to Thibodaux to play Nicholls State in an exhibition game. The regular season begins against ULM on Tuesday, November 9.
LSU was picked sixth in the SEC preseason poll. The Tigers were also unranked in the AP’s preseason poll but did receive seven votes.
