Johnson is a four-star prospect currently ranked just inside the top-250 of the 247 composite, 237 overall. He’s the No. 33 wide receiver and No. 12 player in the state of Louisiana.
Johnson joins two other receivers in LSU’s 2022 class, joining Edna Karr’s Aaron Anderson and Green Oaks’s DeColdest Crawford. The biggest fish in terms of wide receivers on LSU’s radar is Shazz Preston from St. James. Preston’s also a four-star, No. 67 overall and the No. 3 player in Louisiana.
It’s early in the 2022 cycle, but LSU is once again shaping up to have another elite class. The Tigers currently have 10 commits so far and the No. 3 class nationally, and the state of Louisiana has a strong group of prospects this cycle. Louisiana has eight players currently ranked in the 247 Top 150.
