Representatives from all 32 NFL organizations were in Baton Rouge Wednesday to scout nine former Tigers showcase their skills at LSU’s Pro Day.
Tory Carter, Ja’Marr Chase, Terrace Marshall, Racey McMath, Jacoby Stevens, Tyler Shelvin, Kary Vincent and Zach Von Rosenberg are the next to enter the NFLSU fraternity and those eight players all shined Wednesday.*
*Jabril Cox did not partake in any drills or workouts due to a hamstring injury. He plans to have a Pro Day at LSU prior to the NFL Draft, which begins April 29.
Below are the results from Wednesday’s workouts:

Ja’Marr Chase came into Wednesday as a top-five prospect and arguably the top receiver in the draft class. He not only cemented his status as a top-five pick, he reminded the entire world he’s a physical freak of nature.

The other big winner from Pro Day was Terrace Marshall, who may have locked up first round status thanks to a 4.38 40-yard dash. We know he has the size to be a team’s No. 1 receiver, but showing he can stretch the field vertically shows he has a well rounded game.
Terrace Marshall!!! Don’t sleep on him @NFL @Terracemjr

If Marshall and Chase both go in the first round, that means LSU’s 2019 offense will have had a first round quarterback (Joe Burrow) handing the ball off to a first round running back (Clyde Edwards-Helaire) or throwing it to three first round receivers (Marshall, Chase, and Justin Jefferson).
But the fastest receiver wasn’t Chase or Marshall, instead it was Racey McMath who won the footrace with a blistering 4.34 40-yard dash time. McMath also had a good day getting in and out of his breaks running routes, showing he can be more than just a special teams ace.
On the defensive side of the ball, the big question was what kind of weight would Tyler Shelvin be at. Shelvin weighed in at 350 pounds, which was his playing weight during the 2019 season. Shelvin has said his focus was improving his pass rush technique and had this message to NFL teams.

The next DBU products, Jacoby Stevens and Kary Vincent, had good showings Wednesday as well. Stevens showed off his athleticism with 42” vertical jump and 4.5 40-yard dash, while Vincent showed off his sprinter speed with a 4.38 40-yard dash.
The NFL Draft is set to start in four weeks, with the first round taking place on April 29.
