2021 NFL Draft Openthread

Come watch some former Tigers make their NFL dreams come true

The eyes of the football world will be on Cleveland tonight as the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft begins at 7:00 P.M.

After having the entire 2020 draft be held virtually, the NFL is back to having the event in person and 13 players will be in attendance.

One of the 13 players is Ja’Marr Chase who headlines a group of nine former LSU Tigers that are hoping to hear their names called this weekend. Chase will almost certainly be the first LSU player to be selected and has a very good chance at being the first receiver off the board as well. The speculation is that Chase will reunite with Joe Burrow in Cincinnati.

In addition to Chase, LSU’s 2021 draft class includes Tory Carter, Jabril Cox, Racey McMath, Terrace Marshall Jr., Tyler Shelvin, JaCoby Stevens, Kary Vincent Jr., and Zach Von Rosenberg.

NFL Draft Profiles

Below are Max and I’s profiles for the draft-hopeful Tigers*

*We didn’t do either Tory Carter or Zach Von Rosenberg. But I’ll gladly eat crow if either two get selected this weekend

The NFL Draft will be simulcasted on ESPN, ABC and NFL Network. Mike Greenberg will carry the ESPN broadcast and is going to be joined by Mel Kiper Jr., Louis Riddick, Booger McFarland, Chris Mortensen, Adam Schefter, and Suzy Kolber among others.

Over on NFL Network, Rich Eisen hosts and is accompanied by Daniel Jeremiah and Charles Davis.

ABC’s broadcast will have most of the College GameDay crew such as Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstriet, Desmond Howard, Maria Taylor, and David Pollack.
