Another day, another departure for the LSU basketball program.

This past season was Smart’s best as a Tiger. Smart led the SEC in three-point shooting at 40.2 percent and averaged a career-best 16 points a game. Both figures helped make Smart a second-team All-SEC selection.
A Baton Rouge product, Smart came to LSU via Scotlandville where he was the state player of the year three times. In his three years at LSU, Smart played in 93 games and started 76. Smart helped LSU win the 2019-2020 SEC regular season championship and has been a key part in this basketball renaissance.
Smart had declared for the NBA draft at the conclusion of his freshman and sophomore seasons but withdrew both times. With Smart now having an agent he’ll relinquish his eligibility.
