LSU’s final selection of the 2021 NFL Draft came in the form of Kary Vincent Jr., who was taken in the seventh round, 237th overall, by the Denver Broncos.
Vincent played in 39 games over three years with 19 starts. He made 47 tackles in 2019 and was second on the team in interceptions with four. Vincent also ran track at LSU and helped the Tigers win the SEC Championship in the 4x100 meter relay in both 2018 and ‘19.
The former Tiger corner/nickel safety opted out of the 2020 college football season, and like Tyler Shelvin, probably saw his draft stock fall because of it. Vincent will join former teammate Lloyd Cushenberry in Denver.
Vincent was the seventh and final former Tiger to hear his name called this weekend. Ja’Marr Chase (first round) and Tyler Shelvin (fourth round) were both selected by the Cincinnati Bengals; Terrace Marshall (second round) was picked by the Carolina Panthers; Jabril Cox (fourth round) was taken by the Dallas Cowboys; Racey McMath (sixth round) was picked by the Tennessee Titans; and JaCoby Stevens (seventh round) was picked by the Philadelphia Eagles.
