After two strong performances at the plate, the Tigers were unable to muster up any offense in a 2-0 loss to ULL. With the loss the Tigers and Cajuns will play a decisive winner take all game seven today at 3:45 P.M. central, with the winner headed to the Super Regional
The Tiger offense really had no chance to ever get going with the team mustering up just three hits and one walk over the course of the game.
Following two games with Shelbi Sunseri as the starter, Beth Torina turned to Ali Kilponen who pitched well despite taking the loss. The Tiger hurler tossed a complete game allowing four hits and two earned, while striking out five.
The games only offense came in the bottom of the third when Jade Gortarez notched an RBI double that plated the two ULL runs.
If the Tigers cannot secure a win in the second game it would be the first time LSU has failed to reach the Super Regionals since 2014.
