Jamal Adams, Devin White Named to NFL’s Top 100 Players

Part two of the 2021 Top 100 names Adams and White as two of the NFL’s elite

The NFL Network’s annual Top 100 players ranked players 100-41 last Sunday. Now, a week later, the players from 40-11 were unveiled and Jamal Adams and Devin White both found their names on the list.

Adams fell a few places on the 2021 list that is voted on by current NFL players. Adams, 31, was ranked 27th last season and the game’s top-rated safety. Now he’s second behind Budda Baker of the Arizona Cardinals, but I’m sure his massive $72 million deal he signed last week makes up for it.

Adams made 83 tackles in his first season with Seattle and set the NFL single-season record for sacks by a defensive back with 9.5 He did all this despite missing four games with an injury to his groin and being hampered later in the year by injuries to both shoulders, an elbow and two fingers. All of that led to his third straight Pro Bowl selection.

As I did last week, I’m linking the video below since the NFL won’t allow their videos to be viewed on our little ole website.

Jamal Adams: 83 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 11 TFLs, 3 PBUs, 1 FF; Pro Bowl

Devin White, meanwhile, checked in at No. 28 his first appearance on the Top 100 and the highest ranked former Tiger.

White caused absolute mayhem in his sophomore season, picking up 140 tackles and nine sacks. He was maybe Tampa’s best player in their Super Bowl run and I personally felt like he should have won Super Bowl 55’s MVP. For whatever reason White has yet to garner any postseason accolades, he wasn’t named to the All-Pro team nor was he a Pro Bowl selection. But a big ole Super Bowl ring is probably all White needs.

Devin White: 140 tackles, 9 sacks, 15 TFLs, 1 FF, 4 PBUs
