NFLSU Week 2 Recap

God there are so many guys to keep track of

NFL: Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Another week of NFL in the books! How did our boys do? Let’s find out.

Giants 29 at Washington Football Team 30

Saahdiq Charles was inactive so this is the only game through the first two weeks where no LSU players were on the field. Too bad!

NFLSU Score: 0/10

Saints 7 at Panthers 26

Kwon Alexander and Will Clapp didn’t play for the Saints, but Terrace Marshall Jr had three catches for 17 yards and Donte Jackson had three tackles. Donte would’ve had more opportunities to make plays on the ball if the Panthers’ D-line wasn’t constantly harassing the Saints.

NFLSU Score: 3/10

Bengals 17 at Bears 20

After a thrilling Week 1 win the Bengals game crashing back down to Earth with a particularly bad game for Joe Burrow, who turned a 7-point fourth quarter deficit into a 17-point fourth quarter deficit by throwing interceptions on three straight passes. The offense caught fire in desperation mode including another deep bomb to Ja’Marr Chase, but it wasn’t enough in the end. Still, this play is fun to watch.

NFLSU Score: 5/10

Texans 21 at Browns 31

So this initially looked very rough because Odell Beckham Jr, Greedy Williams and Jacob Phillips were already all out, then Jarvis Landry left early with an injury and didn’t return. But we still got to see Grant Delpit make his NFL debut which included a huge sack in the 4th to help ice the game. You love to see it!

NFLSU Score: 5/10

Rams 27 at Colts 24

Andrew Whitworth is still a crazy motherfucker.

NFLSU Score: 2/10

Broncos 23 at Jaguars 13

K’Lavon Chaisson had 3 tackles and DJ Chark had 1 catch for 19 yards. The Jags are already begging their fans to keep faith. I’m not!

NFLSU Score: 2/10

Bills 35 at Dolphins 0

The first Ferguson Bowl of the year was a snoozer after Tua Tagovailoa was knocked out after four passes. Tre’Davious White was the Bills’ leading tackler though. Blake even got himself one too!

NFLSU Score: 4/10

Patriots 25 at Jets 6

Jalen Mills, Davon Godchaux and Tashawn Bower combined for six tackles. They probably also all intercepted Zach Wilson at some point because it felt like every Patriot got one.

NFLSU Score: 3/10

49ers 17 at Eagles 11

Arden Key had a tackle, a pass defended and a QB hit.

NFLSU Score: 2/10

Raiders 26 at Steelers 17

Foster Moreau caught three passes for 34 yards, while Trai Turner blocked. The Raiders got two sacks and I’m sorry but I’m not gonna be looking up if our O-linemen had good games or not for this segment. Let’s just always assume yes!

NFLSU Score: 4/10

Vikings 33 at Cardinals 34

Boy this was a game! Justin Jefferson caught 6 passes for 65 yards and a TD, Danielle Hunter wreaked havoc for 7 tackles and 3 QB hits, Rashard Lawrence had a tackle and Patrick Peterson locked up DeAndre Hopkins after surrendering a early touchdown. But let’s cut him some slack because staying with the NFL’s best receiver while Kyler Murray scrambles just isn’t fair.

NFLSU Score: 7/10

Falcons 25 at Bucs 48

Leonard Fournette and Russell Gage had solid games, but the real story is Devin White being robbed of a defensive TD. Does this look like offsides to you? It doesn’t to me!

NFLSU Score: 6/10

Cowboys 20 at Chargers 17

La’el Collins missed the Cowboys crazy win over L.A. because of a suspension but he’s appealing it.

NFLSU Score: 3/10

Titans 33 at Seahawks 30 (OT)

Kristian Fulton is he real deal folks. DK Metcalf had 1 catch for 8 yards on 5 targets when Fulton was on him. Funny enough it isn’t the first time DK was nowhere to be found when covered by an LSU corner! Jamal Adams also had 8 tackles while Ethan Pocic and Damien Lewis blocked Russell Wilson in a thrilling game that almost saw the refs steal a win from the Titans.

NFLSU Score: 7/10

Chiefs 35 at Ravens 36

After missing the first game of the season, Tyrann Mathieu responded with two interceptions in the first quarter, bringing one back for a touchdown. On brand for him! Patrick Queen was the Ravens’ leading tackler and Darrell Williams scored a short TD. Unfortunately the night ended sadly with Clyde Edwards-Helaire losing a fumble in Ravens territory in the final two minutes. While it was a thrilling game with tons to enjoy, that last part was sad to see.

NFLSU Score: 8/10

Lions 17 at Packers 35

Michael Brockers had four tackles and a sack.

NFLSU Score: 2/10
