It’s never too early to plan out trips for future LSU games and the SEC did just that Tuesday evening, announcing the full schedule for all member institutions.
LSU’s 2022 season begins Sunday September 4 against the Florida State Seminoles in the Superdome. It’ll be the first time LSU and Florida State have played since 1991. Florida State has won seven of nine matchups all time, with LSU’s last win coming in November of 1982.
After the Labor Day weekend primetime spot, LSU will open Tiger Stadium by hosting Southern University on September 10 and it will be the long-awaited first ever meeting between the two Baton Rouge universities. LSU only has four true road games in 2022, the first being a trip to Auburn on October 1.
LSU will once again open SEC play against Mississippi State at home on September 17. LSU gets its traditional bye the week before Alabama, will close out the regular season against Texas A&M, and will see Tennessee rotate onto its schedule. It will be the first time LSU’s hosted Tennessee since the wild 2010 game.
The full 2022 schedule is as follows:
September 4 (Sunday): vs. Florida State (New Orleans)
September 10: vs. Southern
September 17: vs. Mississippi State
September 24: vs. New Mexico
