Tre Bradford Re-Enrolls at LSU

The running back room gets a boost from a familiar face

NCAA Football: Mississippi at Louisiana State Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

Sophomore running back Kevontre Bradford re-enrolled at LSU yesterday and has rejoined the football team as first reported by Billy Embody of 247Sports.

Bradford transferred from LSU in June and enrolled at Oklahoma. He then left Oklahoma at the end of August and has found his way back to Baton Rouge. Coming out of high school, Bradford was a four-star prospect and the No. 13 running back in the 247 composite.

Bradford saw limited action in his true freshman season, He carried the ball 10 times and caught three passes, including a crucial touchdown reception in the fourth quarter of LSU’s upset win over Florida.

Bradford is rejoining a running back room that is suddenly thin. Junior running back John Emery is out due to academic reasons and is “week-to-week” per Ed Orgeron; meanwhile freshman running back Armoni Goodwin missed the UCLA game due to injury and could miss more time.

LSU is hoping getting Bradford back will help get the running game back on track. The Tigers were held to 48 yards rushing against UCLA in Saturday’s 37-28 defeat. But frankly it doesn’t matter if LSU adds Bradford or 2015 Leonard Fournette if the offensive line can’t improve its play.
