Now that the regular season has wrapped up, we’re entering #awardszn and LSU’s biggest two stars are finalists for some serious hardware.
Jayden Daniels is a finalist for three of college football’s biggest offensive awards: the Walter Camp, Maxwell, and Davey O’Brien. The O’Brien award is given to the nation’s best quarterback, while the Camp and Maxwell are national player of the year honors.
The biggest award of course is the Heisman. The ballots went out on yesterday and the finalists will be announced Monday. Assuming Daniels makes the cut (he will) the ceremony will be next Saturday in New York.
Malik Nabers made the cut and is a finalist for the Biletnikoff award, which is given to the nation’s best wide receiver. Nabers is a finalist along with Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. and Washington’s Rome Odunze. It’s nice to dream Nabers will win this considering he’s got the best numbers, but Harrison is a lock to win this because “they” want him to. Sad!
