NFLSU Week 15 Recap

Playoff pushes but also injuries

NFL: Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

Week 15 of the NFL season featured what was easily the most anticipated preseason matchup for LSU fans, but it was an even bigger disappointment than we expected going in. Still, there was lots of action around the league and we’re gonna recap all of it here.

Chargers 21 at Raiders 63

Will Clapp’s season is unfortunately over. I mean the season is over for every Charger, but Clapp suffered a knee injury sending him to IR. Still, he proved to be a viable starting center during the latter half of this season.

Vikings 24 at Bengals 27 (OT)

Before the season, this was the Super Bowl for LSU fans. Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson all in the same game with Danielle Hunter, Ed Ingram. Jaquelin Roy and Jay Ward as a bonus. But of course, Burrow’s season ended a month ago.

Even if they both have backup QBs throwing to them, Justin v. Ja’Marr would still be entertaining right? Well, Justin (seven catches for 84 yards) is still clearly nursing an injury and Ja’Marr (four catches for 64 yards) left this game with a shoulder injury. Still, the latter made this one really cool catch.

As for the supporting cast, Danielle Hunter had five tackled with two sacks. Is the NFLSU Player of the Year? He certainly has a case. Even though the Joe-Justin-Ja’Marr fireworks did not come to be, we still got this sick hoodie from Jets.

Two extra points for the hoodie idc idc.
