Nick Saban retires from Alabama

The seven-time national champion coach led the Crimson Tide for 17 years.

I have often described my dislike of Saban like this:

Saban to Alabama is similar to dating someone you had a great relationship with, but they tell you they need "find themsleves." So you let them go and you support them in that quest because things were great when you were together and you want them to find happiness. Then, two years later, they come back into your life dating your loud-mouth, belligerent brother. And now you have to see them every holiday dinner.

I'm glad he's finally retiring. The college football world (well, mine in particular) is better for it.
