NFLSU Week 17 Recap

This is all we have left

On Monday morning the year 2023 and the LSU Football season came to a close. Thankfully, we still have one more week of the NFLSU regular season and the playoffs on the horizon. The penultimate week was a big one for standings and clinching scenarios, but we don’t care about that. Let’s discuss how the LSU alumni did.

Jets 20 at Browns 37

Ethan Pocic played every snap at center and Jarrick Bernard-Converse played some special teams snaps.

NFLSU Score: 2/10

Lions 19 at Cowboys 20

Damone Clark had four tackles.

NFLSU Score: 2/10

Dolphins 19 at Ravens 56

This highly anticipated matchup between two of the top teams in the league ended the same way it did the prior week: with a dominant Ravens win.

Odell Beckham Jr only caught one pass but it was a beauty for 33 yards.

Patrick Queen had another solid game with six tackles and a pass breakup. Duke Riley continues to see more action for Miami with six tackles of his own. Blake Ferguson long snapped.

The Ravens are now a runaway Super Bowl favorite and as I said last week, two very solid Tigers starting on both sides of the ball makes them a solid bandwagon choice.

NFLSU Score: 5/10

Saints 23 at Buccaneers 13

A Louisiana football team beat a team wearing red on New Year’s Weekend. Go figure!

Tyrann Mathieu had five tackles. Foster Moreau caught one pass for 13 yards, converting a big third down in the process. Trey Palmer caught four passes for 84 yards and a TD. Devin White had seven tackles and a pass breakup.

NFLSU Score: 6/10

Patriots 21 at Bills 27

Jalen Mills had five tackles, Davon Godchaux had one. Reid Ferguson long snapped. Bills please activate Playoff Lenny for Playoff Time.

NFLSU Score: 3/10

Falcons 17 at Bears 37

No Tigers, but there was snow which was pretty cool!

NFLSU Score: 0/10

Raiders 20 at Colts 23

No Tigers and no snow. Bummer!

NFLSU Score: 0/10

Panthers 0 at Jaguars 26

DJ Chark caught one pass for 18 yards. He also made a tackle on a turnover. Deion Jones had seven tackles and a sack while Donte Jackson had four tackles. They are one game away from being free from this awful season.

NFLSU Score: 4/10

Titans 3 at Texans 26

Derek Stingley Jr. had six tackles. Arden Key played but did not record a stat. Kristian Fulton did not play.

NFLSU Score: 3/10

Rams 26 at Giants 25

Cor’Dale Flott had six tackles.

NFLSU Score: 2/10

Cardinals 35 at Eagles 31

BJ Ojulari had five tackles. If you’re wondering what happened to the Eagles, they are being punished for not adding any LSU Tigers. Take note, Detroit Lions.

NFLSU Score: 2/10

49ers 27 at Commanders 10

Saahdiq Charles played every snap. Jabril Cox had one tackle.

The 49ers clinched the NFC’s top seed and have nothing to play for next week. Might we see some Ty Davis-Price action? One can hope...

NFLSU Score: 3/10

Steelers 30 at Seahawks 23

Patrick Peterson had three tackles. Damien Lewis and Anthony Bradford continue to hold it down as Seattle’s guard tandem.

NFLSU Score: 4/10

Bengals 17 at Chiefs 25

Ja’Marr Chase caught three passes for 41 yards. Clyde Edwards-Helaire was out with an illness, ruining ANOTHER 2019 team reunion. I hate this season so much.

NFLSU Score: 3/10

Chargers 9 at Broncos 16

If there’s one thing that’s certain every single week I do these recaps, it’s Lloyd Cushenberry III playing every snap at center for the Broncos.

NFLSU Score: 2/10

Packers 33 at Vikings 10

Justin Jefferson caught five passes for 59 yards. Danielle Hunter had three tackles. You know these Vikings backup QBs really suck when having Justin Jefferson can’t even get them going.

NFLSU Score: 4/10
