In news that should surprise absolutely nobody, junior wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. announced he would be entering the 2024 NFL Draft.

Thomas came to LSU as a high-four star prospect from Walker High (LIVINGSTON PARISH BABY) and after showing flashes of what could be as a freshman and sophomore, really blew up in 2023.

Thomas led the country in touchdown receptions with 17, and caught two in the ReliaQuest Bowl win over Wisconsin including what proved to be the game-winner. Thomas, fellow receiver Malik Nabers, and Heisman winnter Jayden Daniels were the face of LSU’s No. 1 offense. Thomas earned All-American honors and caught 68 passes for 1,177 yards this season.

Thomas is a projected first round pick in this spring’s NFL Draft (April 25-27). One mock draft I saw even had Thomas going as high as 10th overall. No matter where he ends up, Thomas ought to continue LSU’s claim as Wide Receiver U and we wish him the best.
